Accommodation On Campus
UPDATE: Accommodation bookings are now being accepted. We recommend you book as early as possible as accommodations fill up quickly in the summer months on and off-campus.
We have reserved a room block for delegates of the 2015 International Council of Philosophical Inquiry with Children (ICPIC) Conference at the Walter Gage Residence, from June 24, 2015 – June 28, 2015.
There are two options:
1. Gage Premium Single $57/night (breakfast included)
Private bedroom with single bed and telephone in a four-bedroom shared apartment. Guests share a washroom, lounge with flat-panel TV, breakfast bar and kitchen (not equipped with dishes, cooking utensils, etc.). Complimentary coffee service provided.
2. Gage Studio Suite $129/night (breakfast included)
Suite with double bed, private washroom, sitting area with telephone and flat-panel TV, fully-equipped kitchen and complimentary coffee service. Maximum 2 guests per suite.
For those reserving at the Walter Gage Residence through the website, it should be noted that breakfast is included in the nightly rate. It is served between 6:45am-9am daily at the Pacific Spirit Place (PSP) Cafeteria in the current Student Union Building. The Gage Front Desk staff will print passes out to guests and will explain all this to you.
Parking
Parking for guests is $9, plus applicable taxes, per night per car. It is first come, first served basis at the Gage Parking Lot, which is around the Gage facility. Guests wishing to park their car here can arrange this when they check in. For those not staying on campus, please refer to this website: http://parking.ubc.ca/hourly-rates. Given that we anticipate that most of the sessions will be in the Scarfe building, the closest parkade is the West Parkade or Health Sciences Parkade.
