From YVR Airport
- Taxi services: It takes approximately 20 minutes and costs about $35-40. When you reach UBC via South West Marine Drive, you’ll need to advise the driver of where you are staying on campus (see accommodations).
- Public Transportation: The overall travel time by public transportation from YVR to UBC is approximately 50 minutes. The fare is $8.75 CAD and tickets can be purchased at automated ticketing machines at the Canada Line station. Payment is accepted in coins, bills. Debit and credit cards are accepted by most machines.
Take the Canada Line (departure just outside the International Terminal) to Oakridge / 41st Station Northbound and take the TransLink bus (# 49, 99, 480, 41 or 43) at West 41st at Ash St. Westbound to UBC. Alternatively, delegates can get to UBC by getting off the Canada Line at Broadway, cross the street to the North side of Broadway and catching the westbound 99 B-line bus.
Parking on Campus
Parking for guests staying at Gage is $9, plus applicable taxes, per night per car. It is first come, first served basis at the Gage Parking Lot, which is around the Gage facility. Guests wishing to park their car here can arrange this when they check in. For those not staying on campus, please refer to this website: http://parking.ubc.ca/hourly-rates. Given that we anticipate that most of the sessions will be in the Scarfe building, the closest parkade is the West Parkade or Health Sciences Parkade.
Parking is available in various locations around the campus and it costs between $8-$14 per day. The closest parking to the conference venue is the West Parkade (2140 Lower Mall). Parking options, including locations and rates, can be found here.
